We use your contact details, addresses, photos and messages to make and deliver your order. We never sell your personal information or store card details, and only Mintify24 uses your photos. Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete your data, including photos you uploaded.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Mintify24 (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit mintify24.ca, place an order or contact us, why we collect it, who handles it for us, how long we keep it, and how you can see, correct or delete it.

By using our website, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

1. Who We Are

Mintify24 is a small embroidery studio in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and runs the online store at mintify24.ca. Our privacy contact is the owner of Mintify24: email [email protected], or see Section 14.

Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, for information that crosses provincial or national borders, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) govern how we handle personal information.

2. What We Collect and Why

  • Orders: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, the items you order, your personalization (names, dates, text and design choices) and any note you add. We use them to make, ship and support your order, including your design proof, and to keep the business records that tax law requires.
  • Photos and logos: photos you upload on a product page, a logo or artwork you attach to our quote form, and files you email us. We use them only for your order (Section 3).
  • Payments: payments go through the payment service you choose at checkout, such as your bank for Interac e-Transfer; we never see or store full card or bank details. For an Interac e-Transfer, we see the sender name and the message the transfer shows us.
  • Messages: what you send through our contact and quote forms or by email, such as your name, email address, phone number, order number and message. We use them to answer your questions and quote requests.
  • Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up (Section 4).
  • Account: if you create one, your login details, name, addresses and order history (Section 5).
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you request. Our web host (Hostinger) and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects our website, receive this with every page you load. We use it to keep our website working and secure, and to prevent fraud and spam.
  • With your order: WooCommerce, our store software, saves the IP address and browser used to place the order, how you arrived at our store (for example a search engine, Instagram, a link or a direct visit), your device type and the number of pages you viewed in that visit. We use it to prevent fraud and to learn which pages and links bring visitors.
  • Visit statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, the referring website, browser, device type, country and page speed. It does not use cookies.
  • Cookies: see Section 8.

3. Your Photos and Logos

Only Mintify24 uses the photos and logos you send us, and only for your order: we turn them into an embroidery design and use them to answer questions about your order, such as a reorder or a repair. Our web host and email provider store them for us (Section 6), but nobody outside Mintify24 uses them, and we never sell them.

Our Work page: we show a photo of a finished piece on our Our Work page only if you say yes (an optional box at checkout, never ticked for you). We never show the photos or logos you send us, and we remove the photo of your piece whenever you ask.

4. Newsletter

We email you new designs and offers only if you sign up in our website footer or tick the box at checkout. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Our newsletter is sent with Hostinger Reach, Hostinger’s email tool, which keeps our list. We don’t sell or share our list.

5. Accounts

You can always check out as a guest. If you tick “Create an account?” at checkout, or register on our My Account page, WooCommerce emails you a link to set your password. Your account keeps your name, email address, addresses and order history, so you can see your orders and check out faster.

6. Who Handles Your Information

We never sell, trade or rent your personal information, and nobody outside Mintify24 uses your photos. We share information only as follows:

  • Hostinger hosts our website, its database and the files you upload, carries our email ([email protected]), including the messages and files you send us and our order emails to you, and sends our newsletter (Hostinger Reach).
  • Payment services: the payment service you choose at checkout, such as your bank for Interac e-Transfer, processes your payment.
  • Shipping carriers (Chit Chats, GTAGSM, Canada Post, UPS or FedEx, as named in our Shipping Policy) receive your name, shipping address and, when needed for delivery, your phone number or email address.
  • Cloudflare delivers our pages, blocks attacks and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics.
  • Google: Google reCAPTCHA checks that our forms are sent by people, and Google Fonts provides the fonts on our pages, so your browser connects to Google’s servers.
  • Legal authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Some of these providers, such as Hostinger, Cloudflare and Google, may store or process information outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it can be accessed under that country’s laws. Questions about this go to our privacy contact (Section 14).

7. How Long We Keep It

  • Orders (contact details, addresses, items, personalization, payment records and notes): at least six years from the end of the year of the order, the period Canadian tax law requires businesses to keep their records. We do not delete old orders automatically.
  • Photos and logos you upload on our website (on a product page) are kept while we make your order and handle any reorder or question, and deleted when you ask.
  • Photos and logos you email us (to [email protected]) stay in our mailbox for up to one year after your order is delivered, so you can reorder, and are then deleted. Ask us and we delete them right away. A file you attach to our quote form reaches our mailbox the same way; our website deletes its own copy right after sending your request.
  • Messages and form submissions: in our mailbox until we delete them. Ask us and we delete them.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
  • Accounts: until you ask us to close yours. The orders in it stay for the tax period above.
  • Technical data and server logs: kept by Hostinger and Cloudflare for a limited time under their own policies. We use them only to keep our website working and secure.
  • Backups: our website is backed up for a limited time, so information we delete stays in a backup copy until that copy expires.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files that your browser stores for a website. We use:

  • Essential cookies that keep your cart, checkout and login working (WooCommerce and WordPress). Cloudflare may also set a security cookie that helps tell people from bots.
  • Order attribution cookies from WooCommerce: short-lived cookies that note how you arrived at our store; if you place an order, this is saved with it.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which loads when you start filling in one of our forms and may set Google’s own cookies.

We do not use advertising cookies, and no advertising or social media tracking pixels run on our website. Apart from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, we use no analytics tools such as Google Analytics. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this page first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Your cart and checkout need the essential cookies to work.

9. Security

Every page of our website uses HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption). Payments go through the payment service you choose, so we never see or store full card or bank details. Access to orders and uploaded files is limited to the people who run our store and look after our website, and we keep our website software up to date.

10. Your Rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with, and give you a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it, except what the law requires us to keep, such as order records for tax purposes
  • withdraw a consent you gave us, such as for our newsletter or for a photo on our Our Work page

Email [email protected] from the email address you used with us, or include your order number, so we can confirm the request is yours. We reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

11. Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will promptly delete the information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
